Meet Mary!

Mary Katungu was born in Kenya, East Africa, and has dedicated the majority of her professional career to educating children. Her roles have included Elementary School Instructional Coach, School Principal, and Teacher for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing, among other accomplishments.

In 2022, Mary embarked on a new journey in the mortgage industry. As a lifelong learner who thrives in diverse communities, she was drawn to Aslan for its strong support of Loan Officers and commitment to ongoing professional development.

For the past 20 years, Mary has called Colorado home, where she lives with her husband of 18 years. An avid fitness enthusiast, she enjoys exercise, crocheting, and personal growth pursuits. Notably, she successfully climbed Pikes Peak in just eight hours. In addition to Swahili, Mary is fluent in American Sign Language.
